Travel to Fresno by Air

Fresno Yosemite International Airport
Famous for its commercial airline service, FYI is the only airport serving the Central San Joaquin Valley. This airport is facilitated with two runways and taxiways. Fresno Chandler Executive Airport
Nestled in Downtown Fresno, Fresno Chandler Executive Airport is famed as general aviation airport. Works Projects Administration built FCH in the 1920s. It is famed as one of the California's oldest operational airports.

Travel to Fresno by Train

Fresno is served by Amtrak's San Joaquin which has been providing passenger rail services since years. This passenger train runs from Bakersfield's Truxtun Ave Station northward on BNSF Railway's Mojave Subdivision (Bakersfield), to the Bakersfield Subdivision and connects Bakersfield to Calwa (Fresno), and the Stockton Subdivision from Calwa to Stockton. It is Amtrak's fifth-busiest passenger train service and the railroad's third-busiest in the state.

Travel to Fresno by Road

People coming from neighboring cities and locations prefer to visit the city by car. Though Fresno is not directly linked to an Interstate Highway, yet there are many other state routes serving the city and expanding access to it.

State Route 99: It links California Central Valley's major population centers.
State Route 168: It connects the city of Clovis and Huntington Lake.
State Route 41: It enters the city from Atascadero in the south, and then runs north to Yosemite.
State Route 180: It enters the city from the west via Mendota, and from the east in Kings Canyon National Park connecting the city of Reedley.

Local Transport in Fresno

The public transportation system in Fresno is greatly looked after by Fresno Area Express or Fax. This bus line has a web of more than 100 buses and 16 routes. Travelers can also enjoy its free transfers, bike racks, and wheelchair lifts while traveling through its buses. It connects Malaga to Children's Hospital Central California in the north, and extends to Fowler Avenue in Clovis, Polk Avenue near Hwy 99 in western Fresno.
